Storm Force Weather Update
Meteorologist Nick Carter - Overnight/Friday Morning
WINTER IS BACK!
A powerful snowstorm continues to bear down on the state, bringing blowing snow and rapidly falling temperatures. By early morning, we should see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snow over most metro locations.
The storm really gets rolling in the early afternoon. We could have near blizzard conditions east of the city toward DIA. Wind Chill temperatures will plunge to the single digits, and driving will be tough later in the day. WINTER STORM WARNINGS continue for all of the greater metro area. According to the latest Storm Force weather data, we could see as much as 4-12 inches of wet snow in Denver by evening, but more can be expected in the south end of town and surrounding foothills. Winter Warnings are posted for the rest of the Front Range and foothills through midnight. Stay tuned; exact forecast amounts may vary as the storm moves over the Rockies in the next 24 hours! From tank tops to winter coats...temperatures will plummet into the 20s and 30s Friday and Saturday. Skies clear by Saturday afternoon and Sunday's highs warm close to 50 under a mostly sunny sky. This time of year is known for "wild" weather swings...it's also Denver's snowiest month of the year.
Stay with the StormForce for the latest on this wild winter-spring weather!
